quantum entanglement
Entanglement is a form of strong correlation in which two systems are defined by their common quantum state rather than by their separation.

Basic framework
Bell tests show that nature produces correlations beyond our classical local intuitions.
crux of the debate
Entanglement does not provide faster-than-light messaging because neither party can choose its outcome.
Today's knowledge frontier
Quantum key distribution and precision measurements exploit this phenomenon.
What does the quantum state describe?
In quantum mechanics, a system is defined not by the precise list of positions and velocities of a classical particle, but by a state containing probability amplitudes of measurement results. These amplitudes can overlap and interfere like waves. The uncertainty principle is not a flaw of measurement instruments, but a fundamental limit on how precisely certain physical quantities can be defined together in the same situation.
Experimental meaning of entanglement
Two entangled systems can be described as a single common quantum state, even if there is a large distance between them. John Bell's inequalities give correlation bounds that local hidden variable explanations cannot exceed. Alain Aspect and subsequent experiments showed that these limits were violated in the manner predicted by quantum mechanics. However, entanglement does not send faster-than-light messages because the results cannot be controlled.
Quantum technologies and boundaries
Quantum computers use superposition, entanglement, and interference in certain computational problems. Quantum key distribution can help physically detect eavesdropping. Quantum sensors can measure very small magnetic or gravitational changes. However, the word quantum does not automatically confirm claims such as thought transfer, energy healing, or remote connection of consciousness; These require separate and repeatable evidence.
What is not entanglement?
Entanglement produces correlations between two distant systems that exceed classical explanations; But since we cannot choose the measurement result as we wish, it does not carry a message on its own. Nor does the word “observer” imply conscious human necessity; Irreversible interaction with the measuring device or environment is sufficient.
Fizikten teknolojiye
Technologies such as transistors, lasers and magnetic resonance are based on quantum physics. New quantum computers offer a different way of computing some problems; It doesn't speed up every problem. Error correction, noise, and scaling are still fundamental engineering challenges.
